Zimbabwean artist Shepard Deve sculpted this glossy black heron from a single piece of Springstone. The white areas making up the pattern of the feathers are white dolomite stone, which was ground up into a powder, mixed with epoxy, and inlaid into the leopard stone. The beautiful bright colors emerge when polished with floor wax.
